Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to manage the flow, storage, and tracking of production and quality documents at an aerospace manufacturing site. This role is responsible for organizing both physical and digital records, coordinating with vendors for secure storage and retrieval, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and able to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and accountability are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organize, file, and maintain production and quality documents including routers, forms, technical specifications, and test records.
* Prepare documentation boxes for secure storage and coordinate pick-up and delivery scheduling with external vendors.
* Record, log, and track all incoming and outgoing documents and storage boxes to ensure full visibility.
* Support requests for retrieving or locating documents from storage, acting as a liaison between the facility and vendor.
* Maintain accurate digital versions of records, ensuring consistency with physical files.
* Assist in developing and maintaining filing procedures to ensure compliance with aerospace documentation standards.
* Provide administrative support to engineering, quality, and operations teams as needed.
Core Qualifications:
* Prior experience in document control, records management, or administrative support in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort with digital file management systems.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate logs and records.
* U.S. citizen required due to project requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor"s degree in a STEM field.
* Background in aerospace manufacturing or defense documentation.
* Familiarity with document control systems (DMS/EDMS) or quality management systems (QMS).
* Experience working with compliance-driven documentation processes (ISO, AS9100, ITAR).
