CNC Programming Technician
Position Summary
The CNC Programming Technician is responsible for creating and editing CNC programs for equipment used in the production of machined and fabricated parts. This role supports new and existing products, develops tooling, and ensures programs meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and refine CNC programs using CAD/Unigraphics software.
* Support tooling and fixture design for machined and fabricated parts.
* Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical instructions.
* Assist with CNC machine setup and operation, including mills and lathes.
* Maintain records and revisions of all CNC programs.
* Train and support operators in understanding and executing CNC programs.
* Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and product launches.
* Follow all quality, safety, and operating procedures.
* Maintain housekeeping and apply 6S principles in the work area.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or CNC programming experience preferred.
* Demonstrated experience creating CNC programs.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Ability to comprehend technical drawings, blueprints, and instructions.
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
* Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
* Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling/crouching, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
* Exposure to noise typical of a manufacturing environment.
