Our Client is looking for an Engineering Designer to support our Electronics Packaging department. As a member of the Electronics Packaging group, you"ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site in Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities:
* Support the modeling, drafting, and release of new or existing mechanical parts and assemblies related to launch vehicle avionics using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter.
* Support the modeling and drafting of electrical printed wiring assemblies (PWA"s).
* Communicate project status to Responsible Engineers.
* Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on the design of various system components.
* Compile digital product definition packages for final release per ASME Y14.41 - Digital Product Definition Data Practices using Siemens NX PMI and Teamcenter.
Basic Qualifications for Engineering Design:
* Minimum 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience.
* Experience with design, drafting, and release of mechanical parts utilizing Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
* Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Engineering Design:
* Active DoD Secret Clearance.
* Experience with design and drafting using PMI (digital product definitions) in Siemens NX.
* Experience drafting electrical assemblies (PWA"s).
* Familiarity with the design of Avionics for use in flight vehicles.
* ASME GDTP Certification Preferred.
