Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Utilize different inspection techniques (e.g. visual, dimensional, paperwork, etc.) to complete inspections in accordance with engineering specifications, business requirements, and industry standards.
- Verify completion of assigned tasks and adherence to work instructions and the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Generate non-conforming reports, detailing failures and measurements as required.
- Process parts through Material Review Board in accordance with established procedures while ensuring correct identification and traceability information are maintained.
- Collaborate with Inventory/Shipping teams to address any missed parts.
- Capture and report relevant metrics.
- Maintain or execute established Quality mechanisms (e.g. the calibration program).
- Weekly reporting of metrics in team meetings.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for investigating failures.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry or experience in medical devices and electrical systems.
- Industry experience, preferably in aerospace.
- Demonstrate ownership of goals and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience identifying Root Cause in failures.
- Strong written/communication skillset.
Top 3 must have skills:
2+ years as quality inspector for structures or electronic components (not just functional testing).
IPC 620 trained
Aerospace or a high volume industry experience (e.g. automative or medical devices)
