JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support and coordinate the purchasing activities in procuring materials and services.
* Complete purchase order packages to meet company and government requirements.
* Negotiate Terms and Conditions, NDAs with vendors and work with legal on proposed changes.
* Support negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities to achieve the best price, quality, and schedule.
* Analyze and interpret detailed information; make sound and accurate judgment based on this information and previous knowledge.
* Maintains liaison with suppliers and internal organizations to prevent program delays.
* Set and maintain accurate part lead times in the system and hold suppliers accountable to their commitments and to meet performance expectations.
* Buy parts according to specifications ensuring compliance to quality standards.
* Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Work cross functionally with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, and Accounting to met business needs.
* Provide purchasing and expediting support to the company for critical material shortage.
* Review open orders for critical parts on a regular basis to avoid last minute expedite.
* Manage supplier setup and recertification process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Bachelor"s degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred with 2 years of experience
* Excellent MS Excel skills
* Must have experience in Excel creating tables, formulas, and organizing data into a presentable format.
* Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, self-motivated, and be able to drive a process from start to finish.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical, verbal, organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities, and exceptional informational analysis.
* Excellent scheduling and time management skills.
* Exhibits a high level to attention to detail.
* Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance SAP/PRISM experience preferred
* Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is preferred but not required.
