An Embedded Software Engineer job in Daytona Beach, FL is currently available at Belcan to support the aerospace and defense industry. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline, and 3 or more years of relevant experience. In this job, you will support development and coding of embedded software in various programming languages, such as C, C++, C#, Python, Ada, etc. Active secret clearance is required!
Embedded Software Engineer job duties include:
· Use your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, certify and improve cutting-edge software products.
· Perform coding, debugging, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout the development process.
· Develop software documentation
Job Qualifications:
· BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline
· Proficient in software configuration management tools (Git, SVN, etc)
· Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities
· Ability to apply software engineering skills with little to no mentoring or training
· US Citizenship only
· Security Clearance: Active Secret
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an salary rate of $104,000 to $150,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
