Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Operations Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving performance metrics across the organization. This role will play a key part in leading root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions, and strengthening overall operational quality within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and Fishbone analysis
* Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address and eliminate recurring issues
* Analyze quality data, process metrics, and defect trends to identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Track CAPA progress, ensure timely closure, and verify effectiveness of implemented actions
* Support and maintain quality management systems, including updating procedures and documentation
* Perform risk assessments including PFMEA, Gage R&R, and control plan evaluations
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes
* Support shop floor quality activities and provide hands-on guidance when needed
Required Qualifications
* 3 or more years of experience in a quality engineering or quality systems role within the aerospace industry
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting
* Experience updating and maintaining quality procedures and documentation
* Familiarity with shop floor manufacturing environments
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting internal audits in accordance with AS9100 and/or AS9110 standards
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
* Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
