We are seeking a motivated and skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join our team dedicated to advancing fusion energy systems. This is an onsite role at our customer"s location in Devens, MA, where the position is referred to as an EFIN (Engineering Fix it Now) resource. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and/or quality engineering, coupled with a proactive attitude and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and refine manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.
* Implement quality assurance protocols and conduct inspections to meet regulatory and company standards.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design and optimize tools, fixtures, and gauges for production.
* Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
* Maintain documentation for quality processes, audits, and compliance standards.
* Serve as a proactive resource at the customer site, addressing engineering and quality issues swiftly and professionally.
* Support supplier quality management, including reviews and audits as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing and quality engineering.
* Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
* U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required due to project restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Teamcenter.
* Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques and tools.
* Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, energy, or nuclear) is highly desirable.
