Job Summary:
The Cycle Count & Transactional Health Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, transaction audits, inventory reconciliation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and by identifying transaction-related issues that impact inventory accuracy, production performance, and material traceability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
* Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
* Ensure that the inventory data is to-date and dependable through transaction reviews (comparison of data and MRP interaction with guidance through documented instruction).
* Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/MRP systems.
* Support inventory audits and material traceability requirements.
* Assist with inventory reporting, KPI tracking, and process improvements.
* Support production teams on inventory transaction best practices.
Qualifications:
* High School and / or GED degree minimum. Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
* Prefer experience within a production environment, an aerospace environment is a preferred though not required.
* Detail-oriented approach: Minor errors in inventory counts or records can trigger substantial issues in the future.
* Good organizational skills: Self-directed, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
* Effective communication skills: Ability to speak up and eventually provide alternatives for correction.
* Problem-solving skills: Not expecting an expert, though conditioned in focusing on root causes.
* Advantage if already understanding MRP systems such as 'QAD' operating systems.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office software. Ability to use MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Outlook.
Working Conditions:
* Production floor environment, medium noise, professional & clean.
* Position requires on-site attendance, no work from home.
* May require occasional overtime to complete activities and tasks including some weekends.
* The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. though frequency is low.
* Some interaction with chemicals and HSE restrictions of which guidance will be given.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment with understanding of inventory processes and material flow.
* Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
