JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Managing processes includes over $4.5MM in total parts to support manufacturing equipment with a Replacement Asset Value (RAV) of over $125MM.
* Processes requests for materials and receives, stocks, and issues items as required, and communicates with customers to resolve problems during the receive and issue procedures.
* Manage the execution of cycle counts and physical inventories through internal and external staff.
* Analyzes plant usage of materials to identify opportunities for reduced costs; utilizes and manipulates data contained in standard reports to accomplish this.
* Works to investigate and resolve discrepancies regarding invoices, goods receipts and purchase orders; seeks and identifies opportunities to reduce errors and improve processes.
* Processes and expedites orders required for plant maintenance and operations; utilizes initiative and creativity to identify and develop alternate sources of key parts and materials.
* Works as required to support best practice strategies; visual workplace management; ensures adherence to standard company processes and procedures.
* Identifies critical spare parts, continuously evaluates ABCs, and sets stock min/max levels based on multiple factors.
* Works in partnership with Maintenance Planner Scheduler to ensure parts are available for planned work and identifies gaps in parts and/or material availability that could impact the business or project schedule.
* Manages internal staff used to aid in various storeroom activities, providing indirect leadership and supervision as required.
* Creates requisitions for new items and stock replenishment, ensures timely delivery and communicates availability and delivery date of requisitioned items.
* Ensures proper parts documentation is obtained and maintained as required.
* Responsible for vendor management and effectively cultivating vendor relationships.
* Inspects incoming materials and performs quality checks.
* Inputs new parts and updates information as necessary in CMMS.
* Follows and enforces storeroom best practices to optimize spare part inventory to meet the business need.
* Ensures integrity in inventory accuracy through proper receiving, conducting cycle counts, and following checkout procedures.
* Manages daily parts consumption and can assist customers when needed to locate and check out parts.
* Owns inventory flow by restocking shelves, issuing parts to work orders, delivering parts, and receiving returned parts back into stock.
* Runs inventory and reorders reports and executes reorder process; ensures critical spare parts are available.
* Works to reduce on hand inventory through the optimization of minimum and maximum order quantities and managing slow-moving and obsolete parts.
* Works with external vendors to identify and procure parts, including seeking new parts to improve machine reliability and standardizing spare parts.
* Fulfills parts reservations (kitting parts) for upcoming planned work.
* Maintains spare parts database by updating incorrect item descriptions, part numbers, etc.
* Handles out of stock and emergency spare parts issues.
* Prepares shipments and track outgoing vendor repairs.
* Conducts daily housekeeping procedures in the storeroom and maintain 5S areas to standard.
* Continuously evaluate and improve parts management process.
* Negotiating best pricing and delivery dates.
* Generate inventory reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* A High School Diploma is required; an Associated degree or Bachelor"s degree is preferred.
* A Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience is required.
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required.
* Knowledge of Best Practices in Parts Storeroom and Inventory Control.
* Ability to Multitask and Handle Multiple Simultaneous Assignments.
* Ability to Work as Self-Directed Individual.
* Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
* Strong knowledge and application of a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
* High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, as well as others (Word, Project, etc.).
* Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and familiarity with equipment components and parts.
* Strong attention to detail, ability to manage data with a high degree of accuracy.
* Able to read, understand, and follow documents such as safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and general instructions.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to allow productive collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to coach and motivate maintenance employees so the storeroom operates efficiently.
* Ability to provide prioritization, leadership, initiative and planning in area in order to improve results.
* Experience in inventory management preferred.
* Experience working in a parts storeroom preferred.
