Job Description:
What You'll Do
Position is responsible for performing Manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on various alloys to fabricate duct assemblies within the Aerospace Industry.
In This Function,
You Will Fabricate details and duct assemblies by scribing, cutting, and grinding to tight tolerances per blueprint.
Weld using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) on Inconel, Stainless Steel, and possibly titanium alloys having a thickness range of .020? to .125? per AWS D17.1.
Ensure quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement using a variety of hand tools and gauges.
Follow shop environmental and safety procedures, including proper personal protection equipment at all times
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from accredited institution
Minimum of one year of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc welding on Inconel and/or Stainless with thickness ranging from .020 to .125 OR completion of welding degree/certification.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Skills
Strong math skills and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.
Certification to AWS specification D17.1.
Strong visual inspection skills
Experience with band saw, belt sander, chop saw, rotary tools/grinders and hand held inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, loops, etc.)
