Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join a precision aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing dimensional inspections on aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing inspection reports, interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining manufacturing documentation, and supporting quality assurance initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:
* Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to inspect incoming and in-process aerospace components.
* Follow established procedures for the proper setup, operation, and utilization of CMM inspection equipment.
* Review, analyze, and interpret CMM reports to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality requirements.
* Perform dimensional inspections on airfoils and other precision-manufactured aerospace components.
* Utilize manual gauges and precision measuring instruments to validate dimensional characteristics.
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
* Maintain production and inspection records while ensuring accuracy and traceability.
* Split travelers and maintain the integrity of traveler documentation within the MRP system.
* Escalate CMM report discrepancies, equipment concerns, and quality issues to the Inspection Lead or Supervisor.
* Meet established productivity and inspection output requirements.
* Maintain communication between shifts through accurate updates in communication logbooks and production records.
* Detect and report defective materials, nonconforming parts, equipment malfunctions, and unusual production concerns.
* Maintain inspection equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
* Follow all company quality standards, inspection procedures, and safety regulations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities.
* Perform additional duties and support activities as assigned by supervision.

Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of 1 year of inspection, quality control, or manufacturing experience.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
* Strong shop math skills and attention to detail.
* Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
* Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic records and documentation.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as required.
* Willingness to wear required PPE including safety glasses and safety shoes.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience inspecting metal aerospace components or precision-machined parts.
* Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
* Familiarity with PC-DMIS, Quindos, and Calypso software.
* Experience using manual gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
* Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
* Experience working within an MRP or manufacturing documentation system.
* Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and inspection procedures.
