Job Title: Lab Procurement Technician
Pay Rate: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
Location: Evendale, OH 45215
Shift: 1st
Job Type: Direct, Full Time
Belcan is seeking a Procurement Technician our customer"s composite materials lab. This role involves hands-on inventory management, procurement, chemical tracking, and vendor coordination to ensure smooth operation of lab and testing activities supporting aerospace R&D.
This position blends lab support and administrative coordination, ideal for candidates with a background in procurement, material handling, or inventory control in technical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage consumables, chemicals, and PPE inventory using a 2-bin Kanban system
* Source and procure parts, tools, and lab materials; obtain and negotiate vendor quotes
* Maintain chemical tracking databases; ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal
* Track spend and usage via Microsoft Excel; generate usage and compliance reports
* Coordinate shipping and receiving, including expedited orders and inter-branch deliveries
* Support FAMS procurement processes and government property tracking
* Assist in 5S and Lean process improvements within the lab environment
Required Qualifications:
* 3 or more years of experience in procurement, inventory control, or production support
* Aerospace, defense, or regulated industry background preferred
* Skilled in Excel for spend tracking, inventory data, and reporting
* Familiar with chemical/material handling protocols and lab support tasks
* Strong organizational, vendor communication, and follow-up skills
* U.S. Citizenship required due to contract requirements
Preferred:
* Experience with first article inspection processes or technical documentation
* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S practices
* AS or BS in a technical, engineering, or supply chain-related field

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $30.00-34.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
