JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead critical design, development and integration of advanced electro-hydro mechanical systems.
* Conceptualizing, modeling, optimizing and analyzing complex mechanical subsystems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and the performance criteria
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver and improve designs/concepts
* Ensure seamless integration with other mechanical and electrical disciplines
* Utilize computer software to model, simulate and optimize system performance
* Develop and oversee the testing of prototypes and validate designs through simulation and physical testing
* Provide trouble shooting expertise to assist team in identifying root cause corrective actions to design, manufacturing, electronic, and software issues, failures or inefficiencies
* Maintain detailed records of designs, analysis, testing procedures, providing for clear documentation for certification, manufacturing, and service processes
* Participates in Technical Review Board
* Provide trouble shooting expertise to assist team in identifying root cause corrective actions to design, manufacturing, electronic, and software issues redundant to above and covered by adding 'issues' to above
* Manage Product Configuration Management Process to ensure consistency of product's performance and alignment to its design and intended use
* Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Aviation related experience preferred
* 7-10 years of prior experience in leading or working in technical design teams
* Demonstrated ability to lead mechanical design/development efforts in an entrepreneurial or small company environment experiencing significant growth
* Ability to produce models/drawings based on sketches, electronic images, and verbal concepts
* Design experience with products that integrate multiple engineering disciplines such as mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems is highly preferred
* Expertise in SOLIDWORKS/PDM and/or Unigraphics/Siemens NX
* Ability to produce detailed drawings and other technical deliverables from the designs and models produced
* Working knowledge of Configuration Management
* Highest standards of integrity, loyalty, honesty, moral and ethical values
* Strong customer service attitude
* Technical expertise with software development and electrical engineering is a plus
* Be able to work independently
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills
