Job Description:
We are seeking an outstanding Mechanical Engineer II with strong hands-on engineering skills to support the development and validation of robotic hardware, primarily focused on end effectors. This role will focus on test fixture design and fabrication, test planning and execution of robotic subsystems.
The ideal candidate has a solid mechanical engineering foundation suited for prototype-driven development, is comfortable working in a lab environment, has demonstrated experience designing and building test fixtures, and is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation
* Demonstrated hands-on experience designing, building, and modifying test fixtures and rigs
* Experience with pneumatic systems
* Strong communication, documentation, and data reporting skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
* Ability to analyze and interpret test data to identify trends, failure modes, and design improvements
* Experience with rapid prototyping methods, including 3D printing, machining, and off-the-shelf components
* Experience with environmental testing
* Experience using engineering project and task management tools (JIRA, Asana, or similar)
