Job Title: Quality Engineering Technician - FAI
Location: Dayton, Oh (Hybrid)
Area Code: 45434
Pay Rate: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
Shift: 1st, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Direct, Full Time
Duration: 3-6 months with likely extension
Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in alignment with AS9102 aerospace quality standards. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in product compliance and documentation within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using AS9102 formats
* Perform drawing ballooning to support inspection planning
* Retrieve planning documentation from Oracle/ERP systems
* Create and compile quality data packages and assist in product measurement and inspection
* Ensure accurate and complete inspection plans, tools, and methods are in place
* Collaborate with internal teams and external quality representatives to address quality concerns
* Lead or participate in quality status updates with sponsors and receiving sites
* Maintain and deliver weekly progress reports and timelines for completion
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in Quality Assurance and First Article Inspections
* Familiarity with AS9102 compliance
* Background in the aerospace industry
* Prior exposure to GE or Boeing FAI processes
* Working knowledge of ERP systems
* Do to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
