JOB PURPOSE:
Are you ready to kick-start your career as a Maintenance Technician in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment? Join our team and take on the challenge of operating and maintaining the electrical infrastructure at the Bayer Indianola Production campus! Your work will directly impact the production of life-saving medical devices that reach patients around the globe. Our Indianola location operates on a 3 eight-hour shift schedule Monday through Friday. This opportunity will be 1st shift (7:00am-3:00PM) Monday-Friday with rotating on-call support required. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an entry-mid level technician to make a real impact in the world of manufacturing, contributing to the production of life-saving medical devices while enjoying support for their professional growth and success.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and technical problems will opportunity for on-the-job training and learning as you go.
* Utilize your technical expertise to operate and maintain the site, ensuring optimal performance, output, and safety.
* Play a vital role in meeting customer demand and maintaining product quality standards.
* Provide input to Production, Engineering and Maintenance team members, contributing to a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment / electrical infrastructure.
* Must always adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
* This position requires being on call periodically to support a 24/7 operation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma/GED Required
* Minimum: 1-year trade/military school or associate"s degree/Trade certification in the following areas (Preferred: Electrical or in Plumbing, Mechanical, etc.).
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills both orally and written.
* The ability to handle ambiguous situations independently.
* High standard for quality of work and attention to detail.
* The ability to complete work assignments with minimal supervision.
* The ability to effectively cope with change.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with mechanical, electrical, automation, and chilled water system.
* Experience working in FDA and ISO regulated industries.
* Experience working within a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with SAP/CMMS preventative maintenance programs and systems.
* Experience with providing or delivering technical training.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
