Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a solid foundation in engineering principles and a specific focus on Chemical Processing and coatings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manufacturing processes, particularly those involving coatings, and a drive for optimizing production efficiency and quality. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to support production goals.
Ideal Candidates:
* Possess an engineering degree complemented by skills in Manufacturing & Chemical Engineering, with a focus in Coatings.
* Experienced with Alodine, Silver and Hard Coatings to provide shop floor support in order enhancing both efficiency and product quality.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
* Generate and refine process work instructions tailored for manufacturing needs, emphasizing prepping of materials and coating applications.
* Collaborate closely with shop floor personnel to validate proper coverage and thickness to customer specifications.
* Engage in regular communication with the Lead Engineer regarding daily assignments, and actively participate in daily meetings as required.
Core Qualifications:
* An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent & relevant work experience.
* 1-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with aerospace industry background in chemical processing and coatings.
* Proficient in project management software, ideally Visio or MS Project, with a focus on managing procurement, installation, and commissioning.
* Experience with chemical cleaning and preparation of materials prior to coating application.
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
Desired Other Skills:
* Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, or Solumina.
