Job Description
We are seeking a machinist familiar with turning machines. Sets up and operates a variety of machines in machine shop, including but not limited to; milling, turning, drilling, grinding etc. Able to work to close tolerances working from drawings with little or no guidance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines)
* Load programs, install tooling, and set work offsets
* Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
* Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
* Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
* Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
* Maintain accurate production and inspection records
* Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
* Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and supervisors to improve processes
Experience & Education
* Previous manufacturing experience (3+ years)
* Willingness to learn
* CNC programming experience (G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.)
* Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
* Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
* Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
