Job Summary:
We are seeking a Digital Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance digital manufacturing systems within a production environment. This role combines manufacturing process knowledge with hands-on programming, database management, and application development.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience working with Python, SQL and VBA in a manufacturing or engineering setting and is comfortable supporting production systems, building automation tools, and maintaining backend databases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and maintain digital manufacturing systems including Eyelit (ADS) and GainSeeker, executing imports, managing part launches, editing products, repositioning parts within manufacturing cycles, and generating barcode labels.
* Provide system administration support including user access management, data entry, data extraction, and basic user training.
* Develop, maintain, and enhance manufacturing logs and applications using VBA and SQL, including ad hoc data manipulation to support production and testing.
* Design, code, and implement updates to existing VBA processes and automate data imports, validation, and exports between VBA applications, Eyelit, GainSeeker, and custom SQL tables.
* Design and maintain backend SQL database architecture, including tables, queries, views, and stored procedures to support manufacturing applications and processes.
* Develop GUI-based tools and full applications when needed to improve manufacturing workflows and provide data-driven recommendations for system enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
* B.S. in Engineering or relevant technical discipline
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with SQL and VBA in a manufacturing or production environment
* Experience supporting manufacturing systems or production software platforms
* Strong understanding of relational databases and backend architecture
* Data analysis skills and ability to work with large datasets
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving soft skills
* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with Eyelit (ADS) and/or GainSeeker
* Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
