Job Description:
What You'll Do:
* As a General Technician with a focus on Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) in Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safety and well-being of employees and maintaining compliance with EHS regulations.
* You will assist in implementing EHS programs, conducting inspections, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Functions:
* Assist in the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
* Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing facilities and work areas to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and regulatory non-compliance.
* Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
* Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation for EHS-related incidents and near misses.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of EHS activities, inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
* Assist in the coordination of waste management, hazardous materials handling, and environmental compliance activities.
* Support the EHS team in conducting risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
o years of experience in environment, health, and safety or a related field (entry-level position).
* Basic understanding of EHS regulations and best practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Internship or coursework in environment, health, and safety or related field.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and operations.
* Certification or training in EHS-related topics (e.g., OSHA 10-Hour, HazMat).
* Experience with EHS software or database management systems. Knowledge of ergonomic principles and workplace safety practices.
