Job Description:
⦁ Seed Technicians are involved in all facets of seed production within a location.
⦁ Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling or warehousing seed.
⦁ Outdoor activities may include planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, hand harvest.
⦁ May be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
⦁ R&D positions may also include electronic data collection in field and laboratory settings utilizing PC and handheld data collection devices.
⦁ Manufacturing (Production) positions may also include organizing, moving and placing seed into storage, maintaining inventory accuracy utilizing electronic inventory systems.
⦁ Activities may require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing.
⦁ Extended hours may be requested during the peak seasons.
⦁ High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and / or related experience may be required.
⦁ Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.
⦁ Must be able to adhere to all client SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.
⦁ Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems may be required.
⦁ Basic mechanical ability / understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and trouble shoot equipment) may be required.
⦁ 1-3 Years of Experience.
⦁ Shift will be 7pm-7am for the duration of assignment
