Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations at a key client site in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, supporting inspection and validation activities, and driving resolution of nonconformances.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in interpreting technical data, hands-on inspection experience, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review inspection data, case records, and quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
* Investigate and validate out-of-tolerance measurements and ensure proper documentation and resolution
* Support disposition activities for nonconforming material in collaboration with engineering and production teams
* Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles as needed
* Perform and support hands-on inspection activities using standard measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
* Maintain and update quality records, including case documentation and traceability requirements
* Work within non-standard ERP systems, including manual data entry and tracking of quality-related information
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive corrective actions
* Provide flexible, hands-on support across multiple product lines and areas of the shop floor

Core Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
* Experience in a manufacturing or quality role (aerospace experience preferred but not required)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Working knowledge or exposure to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
* Experience with manual inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and validate measurements
* Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
* Comfortable working with manual processes and non-standard ERP systems
* Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
* Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, or similar quality standards
* Experience with nonconformance disposition and root cause analysis
* Exposure to inspection planning or quality documentation systems
* Willingness to support occasional or alternating weekend coverage
