Belcan is looking for a Delivery Assurance Specialist to support manufacturing and aerospace projects at our customer facility in East Hartford, CT. Incorporating delivery driven decision making, this position will analyze large amounts of data for manufacturing trends and directly influence decision making on a daily/weekly basis.
Job duties:
* Lead and support projects, schedule meetings, report out information, and demonstrate successful methods to work around roadblocks or delays.
* Develop reporting processes, create work instructions, develop process improvements which may include automating data pulls and reporting, integrating multiple data reports, and standardizing methods.
* Perform Buyer Questions (BQs) for multiple plants
* Generate needed reports from SAP
* Update needed spreadsheets with most up to date data
* Manage open order report or customer report(s) by analyzing supplier delivery status and commitments, identifying risks and opportunities, developing mitigation plans for driving continuous improvement to meet customer requirements
* Track and proactively communicate via Critical Status Updates the flow of critical/priority parts through the suppliers manufacturing from the receipt of PO, raw material phase, through manufacturing, outside process/sub tier, quality, shipping, and delivery to the customer
Qualifications:
* One or more years of work experience in a customer facing role in an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot charts/tables are a must have
* Experience with VBA Macros and/or PowerBI is highly preferred
* Exposure to SAP preferred
* Strong self-management, with the ability to work independently and as a team
* Must be outgoing, enjoy solving problems, and be an excellent communicator (written and verbal).
* US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
