Job Summary
Electrical Manufacturing Lead
This role works under the direction of the Project Coordinator to develop, evaluate, support, and improve manufacturing methods. The ideal candidate thrives in an aerospace manufacturing environment and excels at creating repeatable, cost-effective production processes.
Essential Job Duties
* Support electrical and electro-mechanical assembly projects including wire harness assemblies, cable assemblies, PCB assemblies, production workflows, and custom fixturing.
* Work from assembly drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, work instructions, and routers.
* Design or modify tooling and fixtures using CAD software (SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD) and coordinate with machine shops to support efficient production.
* Provide hands-on training and guidance to the manufacturing team on tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes.
* Perform in-process inspections to verify products meet customer drawings, blueprints, parts lists, and BOM requirements.
* Develop, review, and improve work instructions and manufacturing routers prior to release to production.
* Provide hands-on leadership and technical support to the manufacturing team, including equipment setup, fixture setup, and troubleshooting process issues.
* Maintain and enforce adherence to AS9100-compliant operating procedures and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical or electro-mechanical assembly including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and PCB assemblies.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, BOMs, and engineering specifications.
* Strong electrical and manufacturing troubleshooting skills.
* Familiarity with inspection methods and verifying products to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Experience using CAD software (SOLIDWORKS and/or AutoCAD) for tooling or fixture design.
* Experience creating or improving manufacturing work instructions, routers, and process documentation.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to train and support production staff.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments.
* J-STD-001 (Soldering) certification and IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness) Technician certification preferred.
* PCB layout experience is a plus but not required.
* Experience with potting and molding of electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Working knowledge of AS9100 or other quality management systems.
