A Guidance, Navigation and Controls (GN&C) engineering job in Seattle, WA is currently available through Belcan at one of our key engineering clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Software, Systems or Aerospace engineering, and 3+ years of relevant experience working with guidance and navigation systems in a highly dynamic environment. Experience with inertial measurement units and GPS-aided guidance is essential to support of this customer. Additionally, experience with the design and application of Kalman filters is a plus.
Job Duties:
· Develop requirements for navigation and guidance systems.
· Decomposition and allocation of requirements to lower-level subsystems/subassemblies
· Develop requirements verification methods.
· Analyze system functionality using alternative GPS techniques (Globalstar, Iridium)
· Work with customer to analyze data to improve and enhance requirements and functionality of systems.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor" 's degree in software, Systems or Aerospace engineering
· Minimum of 3 years of experience developing requirements for navigation
· Experience with inertial measurement units and GPS aided guidance.
· Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience with Kalman filter design and application.
· Experience with launch vehicles or missile systems.
· Working knowledge of anti-jam methodologies
· Experience with military standards, such as MIL-STD-499, MIL-STD-498
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $100,000 to $130,000.
