Job Summary:
The Technical Writer will support the Manufacturing Engineering and Test Engineering teams by creating, updating, and maintaining manufacturing and test documentation. This position works closely with engineers, technicians, and production personnel to capture processes, document procedures, and ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Observe manufacturing and test operations to document processes, procedures, and equipment usage.
* Capture process steps, setup instructions, test sequences, and operational requirements.
* Create, revise, and maintain work instructions, test procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
* Translate engineering markups, redlines, and verbal direction into clear, standardized technical documents.
* Ensure documentation complies with company standards, formatting requirements, and revision controls.
* Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or process changes and coordinate with engineering teams to implement updates.
* Support document reviews, approvals, and release activities.
* Maintain configuration control and document management requirements.
* Assist in the development of training materials, engineering change documentation, and process-related documentation.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production teams to improve document accuracy and usability.

Required Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
* Experience creating and maintaining technical documents, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, or test documentation.
* Strong technical writing, editing, and document control skills.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bills of material (BOMs), and technical specifications.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in manufacturing, laboratory, or production environments.
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting NASA, DoD, Space Force, Intelligence Community, or national laboratory programs.
* Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or related production systems.
* Experience working within ISO, AS9100, or similar aerospace quality standards.
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
* Experience in high precision or low rate, high complexity manufacturing environments.
