JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supports the company's Mission, Vision & Values
* Responsible for technical support of existing elastomer molding, assembly and related production processes
* Monitor, develop and refine new and existing production products/processes that are efficient, capable and cost effective while maintaining quality, on-time delivery, operator friendliness, safety and operational objectives
* Take design engineering lead on new customer projects/programs
* Coordinate with other departments to complete Engineering Projects. Includes production, quality assurance, purchasing, maintenance, sales, etc.
* Coordinate tool design, procurement, and fabrication with tool vendors
* Validate tooling and processes through first article fabrication and inspections
* Attend team project reviews, new product launch meetings, and quality reviews
* Assist Inside Sales with customer conference calls, engineering issues, and delivery issues
* Create and maintain timely and accurate equipment, process and customer documentation in accordance with established procedures and customer expectations
* Develop and maintain project list and activity log while working to improve and support daily production requirements
* Lead problem solving efforts and teams with timely and effective troubleshooting, implement productivity improvements, reductions in scrap and rework and waste elimination projects
* Perform root cause investigation and analysis, corrective actions and process control plans as required
* Identify new equipment needs and support capital projects from inception to completion
* Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, 6S, and Lean Manufacturing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
* CAD Competency (Solidworks, Catia, NX, or ProE)
* Aerospace manufacturing experience
* Growth mindset with willingness to reach beyond comfort zone, take calculated risks, and learn from setbacks
* Able to work well with all levels of the organization
* Ability to complete complex tasks on-time with minimal supervision/guidance
* Work under deadline oriented environment
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word)
* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
* Able to lift 20 lb. Box
* Capable of operating necessary office equipment
* Able to function in a work environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
