JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
* Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
* Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
* Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on
production orders.
* Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
* Locate and packs materials for shipping.
* Document materials and records units delivered and location of units.
* Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
* Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
* Operate pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move
materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
* Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
* Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.
* Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
* Train and mentor employees to become more proficient and productive in all aspects of Material Handler responsibilities.
* Participate in process improvement activities and promote a culture of continuous
improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1-2 years of experience working as a material handler.
* High school diploma or GED.
* Adept at handling multiple tasks of moderate complexity simultaneously.
* Proficient with prioritizing tasks and meeting multiple deadlines.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Process improvement mindset.
* Knowledge of inventory control.
* Ability to lift heavy materials.
* Data entry skills and the ability to read and analyze information.
* Previous stock or inventory experience preferred
* Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack preferred
