Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support multi-site precision machining operations. This role focuses on programming complex aerospace components using Siemens NX CAM, optimizing machining processes, and working closely with engineering and production teams. While the majority of the initial work will be performed onsite in Yakima, WA, (paid) travel to additional production facilities may be required.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in multi-axis CNC programming, strong problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to supporting production environments.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and validate CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM for complex aerospace and precision components
* Optimize tool paths, tooling, and fixturing to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and increase efficiency
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless program implementation across multiple locations
* Generate setup sheets, tooling lists, and related documentation for shop floor use
* Provide on-site support during production runs, including troubleshooting and fine-tuning CNC programs
* Ensure programs are compatible with equipment capabilities and meet all technical requirements
Core Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience, preferably in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
* Proficiency in Siemens NX CAM for multi-axis programming
* Strong knowledge of machining principles, including cutting strategies, tooling, fixturing, and material properties
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, specifications, and BOMs
* Experience creating setup documentation and collaborating with machinists on implementation
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to refine programs based on real-time feedback
* Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (due to export compliance requirements)
* Willingness to travel and work onsite at various production facilities as needed
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience programming Mori Mill Turn or similar multi-axis CNC machines
* Prior experience in aerospace machining or working to tight tolerance requirements
* Knowledge of post-processing techniques and machine configuration compatibility
* Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional technical teams
