Belcan is looking for an Equipment Manager for a client located in Escondido CA. This is a Full Time - Permanent position!

Rotating shifts! Tuesday to Saturday (10 hour shifts)

As a Manager of Equipment Sprinter, you will be responsible for overseeing daily servicing, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, repair, and capital work as it relates to the DMU operations at Sprinter Mechanical Facility. The incumbent will ensure quality of workmanship, fleet reliability and availability, and validating all maintenance is being performed in full compliance with regulations, production schedules are met, daily train schedule requirements are met, and work is completed safely.
* Lead, direct, organize and oversee the Supervisory staff working within the SOF regarding the Sprinter fleet ensuring staff have the necessary tools and direction to deliver the expected results.
* Ensure all work is performed in full compliance of State and Federal regulations.
* Ensure staff adheres to proper work processes, procedures, production plans and established safety practices.
* Confirm all maintenance, material and repair activities are being entered into Maximo, that the required maintenance plans are being adhered to and that all maintenance documentation is being handled and stored as required by regulation, contract or Bombardier policy.
* Conduct random and planned safety inspections of the workplace to ensure a safe work environment.
* Work closely with the Reliability Engineer and QA/QC in executing approved plans, processes and procedures to ensure their effectiveness and that the anticipated improvements are recognized.
* Ensure that the built-in-quality approach is understood, effective and followed.
* Participate in the selection, training and progress evaluations of new personnel to ensure they meet expectation and remain competent.
* Ensure Supervisors perform in accordance with established company policies and contractual obligations and that matters which may not be consistent with Company policy are acted upon immediately.
* Ensure long-term professional development plans for each direct report is being acted upon and that results are tracked and provided to our HR Team.
* Participate in twice daily visual management reviews with the MOE team to validate the departments focus, review performance, and identify key issues, safety performance, concerns and countermeasures.
* Exhibit excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications:
* High School Diploma with 7+ years of Rail maintenance supervisory experience (Fleet or Commercial) OR a Bachelor"s degree with 5+ years of Rail maintenance supervisory experience.
