A Controls Technician job is available with a service client in Domestic US. THIS POSITION REQUIRES 100% TRAVEL. Great compensation and per diem package. Full benefit / compensation package. Candidate must know how to read wiring schematics in ladder format. Must have very strong working knowledge of the NEC and generally accepted NFPA industrial electrical standards. 2-5 years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electrical and or controls equipment. Successful candidates must have a good working experience with conveyor installations. This is a full-time position and will require travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling throughout the USA. Must be willing to be on call and travel accordingly. Requires weekend work, some holidays and off shifts and at times, can be very long hours. Must be able to act calmly in stressful situations. Must be adaptable to changes. Must have very strong working knowledge in the use of personal computers for word processing, spreadsheet functions and communications. Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of electrical controls and automation systems.

Perform on site electrical installations. This includes sizing and planning conduit runs, creating wire pull sheets, printing wire labels and making terminations. Designing and planning I/O check out activities. Work with Engineering to develop better installation methods. Plan and order field materials with our Purchasing team.
Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group, including installation subcontractors.

HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification preferred. Licensed Electrician and typically an Associate's degree or 1-2 years of additional vocational technical training preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Possess very strong verbal and written communication skills, bilingual skills a definite plus. Must be able to communicate at all levels including Engineers, vendors, tradesman and customers.
