A Structural Analyst job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and 2 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis. In this job your primary responsibility will be multiple structural finite element analysis projects for gas turbine, land vehicle, space vehicle, and other aerospace components. You will report to an FEA Group Leader as a key member of an integrated product team to design/develop, optimize, integrate, deliver, and transition engineering designs to production. Your office will be located in Cincinnati, OH.
Structural Finite Element Analyst job duties:
* Generate and maintain structural finite element models
* Perform reviews for the analysis plan, model, and results, internally and with the customer
* Ensure that models are systematically checked, updated, and validated
* Perform structural analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
* Perform classical hand calculations and use customer specific stress tools
* Liaise with heat transfer, fluids, design engineering, drafting, and other teams
* Maintain strong communication with the internal project management and with the client
* Be responsible for your project work and learn from lead and senior analysts
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* 2 years of structural analysis experience using ANSYS, or NASTRAN, or LSDYNA
* US Citizenship is required
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* 3+ or more years in the aerospace industry
* Experience with analysis of composite structures
* 3+ years in aircraft structural finite element and hand calculation analysis
* Experience with non-linear large deflection structural finite element structural analysis
