What you will do:

Base2 is engaged in an ever-expanding set of interesting projects. We need focused, creative engineers with a passion for harnessing the complex tools that make CI and CD possible. What you will be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, document, and implement complex automated development infrastructures for our customers (build automation, deployment automation, test environments, development environments)
  • Be a technical expert, providing technical consultation to our customers and project teams
  • Develop and document standards and best practices, and mentor junior engineers
  • Resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, adapted to each customer's needs
  • Provide Linux systems and virtualization/container platform administration for production systems/environments
  • Interpret complex issues and clearly communicate them to others
  • Continuously stay abreast of existing and emerging DevOps technologies and tools

  • What we believe is required to do the job:

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery is (required)
  • A degree or certificate in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience creating and standing up pipelines to support multiple environments (required)
  • Significant use of command line automation and orchestration toolsets, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform (required)
  • Strong scripting skills in one or more of the following, i.e., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc. (required)
  • In depth knowledge of git-based development/delivery workflows (required)
  • Management and deployment of continuous integration servers including GitLab (required)
  • Demonstrated experience running applications in a production environment, including development/support of logging, monitoring, audit, high availability, and disaster recovery initiatives (required)
  • Strong experience running applications in AWS is (required). Familiarity with AWS GovcCloud is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating security tooling (image scanning, static and dynamic analysis) into CI/CD pipelines (required).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Sensu, Nagios, DataDog, New Relic, etc.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
  • Experience integrating security tooling (container scanning, static and dynamic analysis) into the pipeline.
  • Proven experience running applications in production - supporting logging, monitoring, audit, and ensuring high availability.
